That fan survey doesn't prove s**t because they probably didn't do a "why aren't you going to the games anymore" survey 20-30years ago. I'm sure if you did them back then , you'd get a similar percentage.
Yeah I strongly disagree , umpire complaints is all I can remember my entire life lol, and...
Mate it's been like that literally every year. I've been on Facebook since 2010 and all the comments were about the umpiring back then too.
And then before that, I still remember tons of people complaining about it at the games, pubs etc. And games had more free kicks back in "golden days"...
I've got the same memories from my childhood, it's an endless cycle.
And just on that , it blows my mind how they complain about how overumpired it is, even though there were more free kicks in the "good old days" - and that's just a fact.
Anyway there's a different thread for that
Idkkk everyone's been complaining about umpiring forever, I really doubt that's why less people are going this year
That 18% is just people who'll complain about umpiring no matter what, no different to any other year
It's a shame that we don't alternate it each year (as in have one year with Anzac eve, and the other with Queens Birthday). Thought it wouldve happened as we played QB in Sydney last year
Yeah I agree he's very important, same as Weitering. But to say they're the sole reason for their teams success (as some have suggested) is just disrespectful to the rest of the team imo
Like I said , we've won games without May, and Lost some with May.
Honestly "No May, No Melbourne" is a big of a cop out. Let's give the rest of the team some credit. Obviously he's an important player, but he wouldn't have made much difference in our losses.
We averaged 8 goals from 50+ inside 50s those 3 games, May being there doesn't stop our Mids bombing...
Give us some credit here, there was probably about 7k Brissy fans there tonight.
There's still school tomorrow btw
For a smaller club, it was a great crowd on a thursday night, especially coming off a 3 game losing streak
