    Cummins Overrated?

Nope. The point I was making (admittedly with a pretty clickbaity title) was that, at the time the thread was made, Cummins was receiving fairly disproportionate praise and comparatively little criticism compared to bowlers who were regularly turning in far superior performances - Starc in...

Shield Sheffield Shield Final: Victoria v New South Wales @ Junction Oval

Will be a draw for sure. They really need to find a way to fix the final.

Is this your standard response to anyone who points out your ignorance, or am I special?

Dude - you clearly know very little about the law and then when someone tries to gently correct you, you get lippy and confrontational. Why would anyone want to take time to help you? If you're not fourteen, give yourself an uppercut and revisit your life choices.

“I was wrong” would have sufficed.

If a judge was to colour sentencing remarks with a personal opinion then it would provide substantial fuel for appealing the severity of the sentence. I'm happy to educate, but I don't understand why you are being so confrontational when you clearly have only a rudimentary understanding of the law.

Sentencing is required to proceed from the assumption that the jury got it right. It would be unprofessional (and potentially grounds for appeal) if a judge was to give any indication of his personal opinion. Anything you are reading into it on that score is pure projection.

    Politics Cuts to migrant intake

Governments have their own economic gravity. Most states would be well-served by relocating their legislative and administrative seat to a regional centre. It's one thing that other federations (like Canada and the US) do much better than us.

    Politics Cuts to migrant intake

There really isn't enough of this done. State governments are absolutely terrible at growing regional economies.

    Society/Culture Should censorship exist?

Wow, been a while since I've seen a straw man this big. There is a difference between censorship and political correctness. Censorship implies government or legal control whereas political correctness implies more of a cultural unacceptance. Aside from the small cadre of political diehards who...

Of course it did. The whole point of offering a no-liability settlement is to incentivise a plaintiff not to take the risk of legal action. No, it says something about both parties' appetite for risk - which is influenced by a multitude of factors. No I'm not.
