100% this.
As much as I (we) like watching the gun mids/fwds take on players, kick goals and showcase their elite playmaking skills, I also love watching old-fashioned defenders simply do their job of beating their opponent. It's not just physical - the mental strain must be taxing also...
Certainly beats the days when the best the young kids showed in a pre-season game was a Richard Hadley tackle!
Was the perfect hit-out IMO, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well our backline held together.
Our best still looks the best. When we put the foot down, it's beautiful to...
OK - let's extrapolate out then.
19 games - 6 goals.
23 games equals...............I'll even round it up.............8 goals.
That's before a mooted move into the midfield, too.
He had an outlier season. What odds of it happening again, especially at his age?
Again, the team was decidedly...
Lol - that's why you finished 8th in points for last year, I guess.
McCreery kicked a grand total of 6 goals last year.

3 (arguably 4) are past their best.
Depth is thin.
You wouldn't...

Just continues to feed confusion over the intent of the rule (change)..........
Like selfishly putting his hand up to play when not fit, playing 2 mins, and triggering (another) game-ending injury?
Doesn't matter, another game in the bank..........
Think you might be barking up the wrong tree here.
Whilst from the outside Draper might look like a negative influence to have around, Fagan spoke about this not long ago (may have been at a Melbourne event).
He (Fagan) met with Draper at some point last year, and had a bit of a preconceived...
He may yet go, but the above is absolute rubbish.
McCluggage waited, Berry waited longer. Lohmann and Robertson signed on after the season (previously).
Matt Rowell waited until June last year to recommit.
Every scenario is different.
How doesn't it stack up? We were able to keep players on the park more than their previous clubs. Even if they were "fixed", we were able to keep them fixed.
Adams played more games with us than the Bulldogs
Daniher was clearly more durable with us
McCarthy has played nearly 100 more games for...
