You should read the comments underneath the article - nearly every comment reeking with cynicism. Who can blame us!! They were "hitting the trade period hard" last year - how well did that go!

They are risk averse when it comes to a young untried player being given an opportunity, but happy to risk an injured player in their "twilight years". Take that selection conservatism & directly link it to the coaching approach & I think you're getting close to a serious problem at the club...

Every draftee taken before Dan Curtin in last year's draft(7 players) has already played at least 1 senior game. If you have natural talent & are thrown in off the deep end you'll most often ultimately succeed. Gangly giants are the obvious exception, but not always - Hardwick is giving Ethan...
