On the Meat Hook - Which Delisted Free Agent(s) will Collingwood recruit?

Toy would be my choice out this list. Fits our need for a skilled rebounding defender.

Cameron Wood .......what to do with him

Although Cam has been disappointing, he is probably not as bad as many posters seem to believe. While I doubt he will ever reach a high level he provides a back up to the aging Jolly. Witts and Ceglar should get some gametime but are not yet ready to ruck for a full AFL game. Unless the club...

News Paul Seedsman contract extension - 2 years

Was unsure about him until the game up in Sydney. Has good speed, skills and poise and could develop into a high class player. His attitude seems to bode well for the future.

    News Non-Pie Trades

Lake and Lynch both fill needs for the team recruiting them and are short term solutions. Difference is that Collingwood used Free Agency and Hawthorn spent 2 draft picks.

    Free Agency Thread

When can this be done - are there specific dates? Probably we should wait until most trades are done to see who else is available. Seaby would be an upgrade on Wood as a backup ruck but still not a high priority.

    News Non-Pie Trades

Great trade by the Dogs. Get rid of a player with dodgy fitness and attitude - even if he has high ability - who will be eligible for free trade next year. Instead of a maximum 3 years but possibly only 1 year they get 2 draft picks to build their future team.

    Knightmare's Collingwood List Management 2012

Agree with this. We need players who can break the lines with speed or kicking skills. The probable loss of Wellingham should be used as an opportunity to trade for one of these players and later draft picks should focus on these as we now seem to have an abundance of tall prospects.

Your favourite all time player never to play AFL / VFL

Grew up watching this team and Baggie was easily my favourite. Barrie Robran however was the best player I've seen - his grace and skill always shone out.

AFL Finals - Week one non Pies games discussion.

Same where I was sitting. Even the Geelong supporters were showing concern and trying to figure out how serious the injury was. Never good to see a superstar go down.

    AFL Round 12 - Collingwood v Melbourne - Prematch Discussion Including Lozza63's Preview p5 #64

Re: 3 out whos comming in this week? (predictions) Agree with the 3 suggested above but Ben Johnson could also be a possible replacement if fully fit. Hoping Fasolo will get his debut - had good reviews recently in the 2s and its always exciting to see a new player progress. Will probably be...

    Carlton Draught Match Centre

Agree with you totally. Tried using it for the first time this year to follow West Coast and Sydney match. So slow and difficult to navigate I turned it off and went back to the FanFooty blog. The main AFL site has also taken a step backwards in its recent changes.

If it were you, would you trade Anthony for Tarrant?

Taz would only be backup for the senior team and then retire in 2 years time. Whats the point of trading for him. If we do want him, wait and use our last pick if no other teams want him.

Battle of the Smothers: Heater or Did's??

Heater - just so important to keep the opposition goalless early in the game.

    Norm Smith medal

I would have preferred only one medal given out for the year. The clear winner would be Daisy Thomas, probably with Goddard second. Hayes was best on ground for the first week but couldn't repeat his heroics. The replay had a host of players who could have got votes - Pendles, Steele...
