    Or perhaps it is because he is the current AFL Players MVP and is leading the AFLCA voting for 2026 to date (despite missing a game!). Much better for people to use raw ratings points to decide Sydney had 4 of the best 6 players of r12 and GWS had 6 of the best 10 players of rd11.

    Yes Collingwood received 194 ratings points in Rd0 for a low scoring 12 point win over the Saints. Meanwhile the Hawks received 220 and BL 224 points in high scoring Rd0 losses. Good old raw scoreboard ratings again confirming it is better to lose a high scoring game than win a close one.

    Fremantle are a lowly 8th according to raw ratings so far in 2026 Robert. The Freo game style is to strangle opposition and play in low scoring games, of which they win. The Demons under King play a high scoring game style where they score freely but also let their opponents score at will...

    They ARE scoreboard contribution ratings. Rd 11 GWS 166 v BL 88 GWS player rating 314, BL player rating of 227 Hawks 75 v Adelaide 66 Hawks player rating of just 174 No idea why any decent analyst would then use raw player rating scores to say that Brisbane players were "better" than Hawks...
