Club Mgmt. CEO: Craig Vozzo - steps down as CEO, club trying to retain him as a consultant - 17/12

I actually think Hird would be an excellent CEO. I just don’t think he’d be interested

AFL Player 15: Dyson Sharp - 187cm midfielder & SA Captain, Welcome to Essendon!

The description of the farrow one is ridiculous. It could’ve just as easily been a 4ths player in a local comp completing the drill and you wouldn’t know the difference

    What shits ya!

There’s also Australians doing it. About what you’d expect from those idiots though

Sport The Hangar Cricket Thread IV

I thought it was a pink ball test. So that, plus a flat track means we’ll bring in Lyon and Cummins will come in. Likely no Doggett and Neser. Wouldn’t mind Webster in for Inglis for the extra bowler.

AFL Player 7: Indefatigable Zach Merrett - Stepping down as captain for 2026

Yeah, that happened a couple of months ago…

    AFL Player 3: Darcy Parish

If he’s not good enough for our team, why on earth would anyone else want him?

    Recruiting AFL Draft Watch 2025 - Picks 9, 10, 13, 37

I think the early optimism around Hobbs was built on a few factors. He slid to our pick after looking likely to go as high as pick 6 but if not, somewhere in the top 10. He was exactly what we thought we needed at the time. We hadn’t had a decent inside mid since Jobe. We didn’t realise that...

    Recruiting AFL Draft Watch 2025 - Picks 9, 10, 13, 37

I agree with most of this. Not sure about this part “A figjam who didn't try hard enough and just expected it to fall into place.” Never heard anything like that before

    Recruiting AFL Draft Watch 2025 - Picks 9, 10, 13, 37

I seem to remember most on here being very excited by Hobbs. I certainly was. That type of player has really gone out of fashion in the last few years. You really need more strings to your bow than just an extractor.

Yeah right, so you’ll just plonk 5000 houses in Hobart (let’s assume each house costs 400k). Pretty simple

Sorry Doss, but I’m demanding a recount of the 2025 POTY. 2025 ain’t over. It’s like awarding the mark of the year, but only including the home and away rounds. KA should take their rightful place as Essendon BF overlord.

Oppo Camp Non-Essendon Football Thread XVIII

I think cost per head is a very reductive way to analyse the issue. Tassie is smaller, so to have a large infrastructure project like this will ripple through the economy by creating jobs which will increase spending in the local community (and more tax will be collected). And not just the...
