    I'm sorry to hear about your family. I hope they are safe and well. I came to Australia from Slovakia and am empathetic - if my family was under threat then I'd find it incredibly difficult.

    Thanks mate. I am a bit removed as the first generation born in Australia.
    The people missing, presumed dead are my parents' cousins & their families. My first wife is from Kyiv, so my son has a grandmother, uncle & cousins there as well, but at the moment they are safe. Sometimes I get triggered by idiots who have no idea, so thanks for the kind words. Have a wonderful new year & of course, Go Freo!
