    At this point I don’t see how we lose. If no bid and there is someone we want then we pick. If a bid comes we will have had overnight to organise a trade with pies. 28 for their F2 plus 47 and 51. Easily enough points for us.

    Can a 3 way trade be done on draft night? I’d feel a lot better with Essendon getting 2 before the bids and us having an agreement with them to not bid on dean. If WC then bid on dean with their live pick 5 likely pick 8 that would be much better for us.

    11 won’t be 11 when a bid comes. It will be pushed out to 14 and worth less points. We need to trade one before a bid and one back for points or we need to trade one to next year and one back for points.

    We can’t use 9 as it won’t be 9 by the time a bid comes. It will be 12. 9 and 11 are far more attractive than 15 and 18 that GC hold and 17 and 23 that Brisbane hold. I really hope we make it hard for them to slide back. One pick needs to either be before a bid or moved to next year.

    The only way I can see us getting above a bid for dean is with Essendon. 9 and 11 for 6, 27 and 30. 27 and 30 will come in to 22 and 25 (1276 points) by the dean bid.     Probably the wrong thread but I’ll post here anyway. I think we hold our picks til draft night. If a bid comes really early we use 9 and 11. If a bid comes just before 9 we trade with Kangaroos 9 and 11 for 25,26,46 and F1, if no bid by our pick we take best available and match dean bid with 11.
