You could almost take a completely different approach, instead of playing our best youngsters and the experienced guys at afl level, we could put all our experienced guys in the WAFL and put our best youngsters in there too to actually learn the game from them and learn how to win games. Would...
Lots of melts around everywhere about the changes, fair enough, but I'm thinking we'll get the win this week.
But the next ten weeks will be diabolical again. Rinse and repeat.
Agreed, I was so pissed with Mini moving him from the backline. Coach needs to understand if you got a player locking down a position then keep him there. Don't mess with a good thing, just find the next good thing to fill the void, don't move players like that around. I hope Hough gets back to...
Agreed, that's why the game plan in the offseason should have comprised of two parts, not one. Plan A and B as I mentioned in my post above. Mini looks like he's only coached plan A in preseason and is now trying to play catch up with Plan B. Which is iffy and become confusing for the players.
Partially, it's also the coaching, game plan in general. It's attack focused, supposed to be quick movement, get the ball moving, get on the front foot, back your teammates to win the footy...
Problem with this tactic with a young side that's missing it's two most profilic tacklers is we have...
Kelly
Is not a leader of anything, dude is simply playing for a paycheck and is borderline toxic out there with his lack of work rate off the ball. Watching the games live, he does one good thing then goes missing and just jogs around without getting involved, not a leader not any sort of...
Decent take. I'd bring Clay Hall in for Tim Kelly though. And drop Duggan for Gross.
The only thing I'd contend is we should be starting the games with our pressure and hard running, run and gun speed style. If it's not working out or we lose momentum we need a purely defensive one v one style...
It's not a throwaway line, you could apply that mindset to every single contest each individual player encounters whether it be in training, on game day or against the bros in the backyard.
Apparently this Michael Jordan mindset is rare I'm finding out.
Edit: Add to that a demand from your...
I'm not someone that accepts regular 100+ point defeats regardless of where the club is or was. Didn't think that was a bad thing or unusual, but apparently it is according to people on this board.
