    I reckon it’s a bit of a balancing act. Focusing purely development was detrimental to StKildas alignment with Sandringham. I don’t know going down that path is always a good thing. But the length at which we’ve persisted with Finn at centre bounce at VFL level is the odd thing for me.

    It’s a fair call about the VFL stuff.. The centre bounce stuff has been over his whole career. In his 62 games so far he’s only attended a centre bounce in 9 of his games, and none in the last 2 seasons. Seems odd to keep persisting with it at VFL if it’s never going to translate to AFL...

    Yeah thinking about it again treating the source as well as the symptom is probably a good way to look at things. Do you think he’s done enough to be selected ahead of someone like Butler so far who arguably can do a bit of both?

    I’d rather someone in the team that backs themselves to use the ball by foot like Greeves, but not sure this solves any issues for us if our biggest issue is defending transition.
