classic case of senior club getting their hands on junior club funds and not spending wisely. someone throwing someone firmly under the bus!

Just noticed Noah McFayden has played 6 games of Colts this year (for 24 goals) Played senior footy in 2019 and is arguably one of the better players his age in the state. What on earth is going on there? surely he can get a run in the cellar dwelling senior side?

Not suggesting Grange are doing anything dodgy, but allowing any club to just give a star recruit and player an assistant coaching role to then discount the salary spend is really just silly. It's irrelevant, as I highly doubt any club in Brisbane is anywhere near the salary cap anyway

surely Grange aren't anywhere near the cap, so discounting Baxter for the old coaching role trick won't matter anyway.

The oval works would be handled and funded by the AFL or BCC or similar combined arrangement. no way the Gorillas would be picking up the TAB. just sad when a community club with huge junior numbers orders their own players off their field for months in the name of a professional game

Grange will turn their club upside down to host the game. They have their poor old juniors training in knee high grass at some suburban park so they can host AFLW games. Talk about losing sight of your core constituency! "We not me!" haha should be "Funds over footy"

yeah, my guess would be that tangible costs picked up by the club would have to be counted. Really rips the heart out of some club traditions. Some clubs might have gone to the same camp for years, had it sponsored etc but the value is high. They also pick up tab for ressies and colts. Or...

how are pre-season camp expenses treated when it comes ot the salary cap?
