Game Day Round 0, 2026: GWS Giants vs Hawthorn, 4.15pm @ Engie Stadium

GWS look better prepared. Better game plan and picked a team to exploit it.

Game Day AFLW Round 5: vs Geelong away, GMHBA, Thurs. 26/9 7:15pm

Kelli Underwood's calling of that game was a disgrace. In the first half she was clearly barracking for Geelong and described collisions accordingly.

Rules you would like to see implemented

Given the mess at the end of last nights Crows Swans game (umpire incorrectly calls a goal a behind as he thinks it touched the post), the rule should be if the ball crosses the line between the goal posts then it's a goal! Doesn't matter if it touches the post! Keep it simple as video review...

List Mgmt. Hawk's List Management 2023

I agree. And Jeka and DGB are both 21. As many suggest that tall guys take time, I'd argue Jeka is the one we should persevere with in the backline.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn : MSD Pick 12, Brandon Ryan, debuts!

The article, published on May 18, mentions that Ryan copped a 3 week ban for striking. I think that is what his coach at the Bullants describes as "disappointing". I guess we won't be seeing him at Box Hill for a week or 2.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn - Emerson Jeka - delisted 2023

I’d like to see him trialled as a KPD at Box Hill when he returns from injury. That seemed to be a much better fit for him when he was played there last year. He has the size and football ability to fill that role. It’s just a question of whether he can find the commitment and mindset to grab...

No Oppo Supporters General AFL discussion and other club news - Part 9

19 teams easily fit into a 24 round season with every team playing 22 games and having 2 byes (7 rounds where 3 teams have a bye and 17 rounds where 1 team has a bye)

News Hawthorn and Adidas part ways in 2022…what next?

I read somewhere recently that Skechers was the fastest growing footwear company in the US, and that they ranked 5 or 6 (by revenue) in the world a year or 2 ago. I visited a couple of Skechers stores in the US in May/June this year, and while I didn’t buy anything I noted that the customers...

Opinion Jeff Kennett News, Media etc.

Ian Silk ( https://www.australiansuper.com/superannuation/superannuation-articles/2021/07/chief-executive-ian-silk-to-step-down ) and Andy Gowers would be great additions to the HFC board. Silk would be an ideal Chairperson if that position fell vacant in the future.

Apple Isle Showdown: Tas Govt threatens to end Hawks, North deals if no plan for 19th side

Tasmania needs and deserves their own team - not a joint venture & not a relocation. An AFL competition with 19 teams, 22 games over 23 rounds (every team has one bye) Every team plays every other team once (18 games) and a Rivalry round (derbys for states with 2 teams & agreed rivals for...

    Game Day 2017 draft discussion

I’m hoping for some of the following James Worpel, Ben Paton, Ethan Floyd, Jordon Butts, Will Walker.

Strategy National Draft discussion (Dan Howe, Tay-ah Miles, Marc Pittonet, Willsmore, Webster)

Daniel Howe, tall defender. (Shoe will never make a defender; Brand is still an unknown quantity; we have a couple of tall forward prospects in Sicily and Willsmore; Gibbo and Lake will not be around forever).

Preview Hawks vs Pies - Preliminary Final - Team(NO CHANGE) & Discussion

Re: Hawks vs Pies - Preliminary Final - Changes & Discussion I agree Lisle in, but Schoenmakers out (2 very ordinary games - the Collingwood talls will slaughter him)
