Pretty much everything I've read from left-leaning folks in this thread is that Vic ALP is imperfect (privatization, debt, group-ticket-voting) and that a competent opposition is desirable. I haven't seen any ALP partisans praising a one-party state because they understand the dangers it poses...

I had a different experience with the show. I found the first arc to be meandering (still good, but I was a little bored up until episode 5) whilst the second arc with Rose felt more focused. I also felt Dream had more compelling character development in the second arc. My favourite episode was...

The Expanse is my favourite TV show of all time. The first season can be a little rough at times (teething problems) but the show is wildly ambitious with the story it wants to tell.
