I reckon that's the issue for the graveyard. Stadium is so big it makes the crowd look tiny and deadens the cheers. Looking forward to the game today and hoping Toby's arrogance is shining :)

GWS ins and outs are amazing. I had no idea it was that many players. Doesn't look good, though a lot of recognisable names still so gameplan / ethos maybe not affected.

If it's going to make bugger all difference then you pick one of the younger guys over the old guy. The potential the player has to develop is the difference. That said, I think I agree with Bombermania that on paper it looks like it's Brown whose place Laverde should take. Not sure how much...

    Player Watch #15: Jayden Laverde

Lead, mark, turn, kick inside fifty to the advantage of Stringer (?) for a goal in one of the JLT games was perfect. He needs a consistent run of games. I just hope he gets his chance before he decides he wants out.

Player Watch # 3: Darcy Parish - Left out of round 1 team - Kicks 5 in VFL practice match

A bit premature I think. Season is a long time. In any case, Joey's injury highlights the need for another genuine KPF. With Shiel, Raz and Walla, and Moz in the background, I don't see a need for Martin.

You may be right. McGrath looks considerably more solid this year so he's on his way, plus he kicks goals. Both are upgrades on Baguley skill-wise so I'd be happy with either. What impacts that might have for team selection is interesting.

Go Cats! So glad footy's back. 0/4 scores over 100 points for 2019.

Who was it that said in an interview after training during preseason that some of the younger guys need to learn how to save their really serious efforts for the season proper? ...or am I imagining that? If I'm not imagining that, I'm wondering if Parish's half-arsedness in JLT was responsive to...

I reckon we need McGrath to go next level as a Dev Smith type mid; tackling and defensive pressure as well as an offensive counter-punch, so Dev can play the Bags/Andrew Welsh defensive forward role better than Bags does. Interestingly, Dev mentioned during the off-season that the coaches do...

Yeah that's where I'm at as well. I'm keeping the faith in the coaches' choices but hoping players like Laverde and Parish hit a patch of form that can't be denied and keep players like Baguley out of the side. It sounds terrible but the same will happen to Hurls and Hooker sooner or later...

Is that because Cotch carries the inside mid role while they push Caddy and Dusty forward more? Is it because Nank is no good?
