Victorian Junior Football League (VFL Reserves) 1919-1924 Uniforms
Not AFL, but I bought the Longford history last year. In the 1950's the black and yellow Tigers differentiated its teams via jumper - Richmond style for seniors, black with a yellow St Kilda style panel in the reserves, and yellow with a black V in the 3rds... Most of the squad is aligned to a SFL team even if they were originally northerners. Robbie Fox was originally from Burnie before going to the Swans (might have been drafted from a VFL side?) in between, so you'd think he'd be required as captain to not be so far up the road... -
