    Trouble is it'd need millions every year to prop it up for a while - maybe 10 years. There are already several clubs being propped up with million dollar handouts, so it's probably tough to do both. The big juniors push is probably the way to go, plus hopefully Sydney can win a premiership one...

    Understood. I'm heading over from Adelaide, but I've sort of committed myself to promoting international footy so I figure I should be there. It would be good to see matches around Australia one day, although some players are keen for it to stay in Melbourne so they can see as many AFL matches...

    Exactly. It really is up to the media and public. If the media give it some serious coverage and the public attend games, then it gets more publicity, more people attend, improving the atmosphere, etc etc. And next time around it will be much easier for the tournament to get a major sponsor...

    Another option would be to promote a purely non-contact version like Brian is doing in the UK or the AFL's Recreational Footy. Although I wouldn't like to only see that side of the game grow with no contact version, but it is an extension of the "safe" Auskick programs for kids, and is suitable...

    There's a lot of work in that list. My only query would be perhaps a few too many tiers? I wonder if the top side from one tier would beat the bottom side from the next tier up? You'd need to be an expert across all the leagues to sort them so finely. Any other opinions - could the BARFL...
