    Club Focus Goodoil's Draft Grades

Actually, the advanced analytics in the NFL say that the clubs even in that league get so many draft picks wrong that trading up in basically all circumstances is a mistake and to mitigate against that actually having the most picks (i.e the most opportunities to strike gold) is the optimum...

    Club Focus Goodoil's Draft Grades

Last year's draft did not run out at 30. A Premiership player went at 31, Angus Hastie, Archie Roberts, Shaun Mannagh, Cooper Simpson, Clay Hall, Kane McAuliffe, Joe Fonti, Joel Freijah, Hugo Garcia, Arie Schoenmaker, Calsher Dear and Lawson Humphries all went post 30 and quite a few are yet to...

Moraes is just an example and the term 'bust' in recruitment is usually used to describe failed high picks, not picks in the late 30s in the AFL. I think you miss the point and that is that I think making monumental trade-ups blind as to what is available doesn't make much sense to me. As an...

    Senior 2. Jay Polkinghorne (2024 -)

Tested well in the jump categories at the State Combine, can't see him playing anywhere other than forward. Ideally would be your second tall behind a monster forward (Neale maybe) long-term.

Adelaide - B+ Solid draft for the Crows and the most predictable as the draft nights approached with them getting locals Sid Draper and Tyler Welsh. Both should be just about ready to go with Draper adding some slickness to Adelaide's midfield. It's hard to argue against his selection...

I didn't have him in my top 150 - fumbles, drops marks, body control poor at times.

I didn't have Riak in my top 150, good pass by the Dees - fumbles, drop marks and body control not up to it at this point.

Another very good smokey, will take time, but incredible athlete and can play.

    Senior 2. Jay Polkinghorne (2024 -)

Don't mean to hijack your thread guys, but in my phantom I had Jay as the player I most wanted my club to take and the best smokey in the draft. I had him in my top 25 players, think he's a very good player and things would have been a lot different had he not been injured first half of the year.

Trainor would be an excellent long-term fit, concussion issues notwithstanding. I think Hotton will be your pick now.

Hi mate, Gallop trained with Christian Petracca up on the Sunshine Coast recently. Not sure what that means for his draft chances but interesting nonetheless. Cal Twomey has mentioned he may be bid for in his phantom information so we might be on the money with him being a draft chance.

Apparently they may be preferring Harry Boyd now over Blakiston.

    Phantom Draft Goodoil's Phantom Draft

You've picked up an error with my draft, Camporeale should have been matched before Port's bid in the draft. If I was picking for Carlton and they still had that pick 38 to play with, I would draft Jay Polkinghorne from Norwood. He has next to no love from anyone apart from me due to missing...
