News Hawthorn in the media 2026

King's analysis boils down to teams need to give it to the best players. No shit. He's a genuine idiot.

    Round 9, 2026: Williamstown v Box Hill Hawks, 22 May 2026, 7.05pm @ Williamstown Oval

I was next to the Box Hill bench and Day was standing on the sideline yelling out to the Box Hill boys. No ice, nothing on his foot. Would imagine he wouldn't have been doing that if it was anything other than a stomp on his foot. On a side note, was egged by a car full of weak pricks on my...

Game Day Round 10, 2025: Melbourne v Hawthorn, 4:15pm MCG

Feeling very nervous about this one. Looking forward to being back at the G. Time for Moore to step up.

    Preview Round 9, 2026: Fremantle v Hawthorn, 7 May 2026, 8.10pm AEST @ Optus Stadium

A lock for Finn is an interesting call. Would have thought Butler deserves a call up before Hill.

    Game Day Round 8, 2026: Collingwood v Hawthorn, 7.30pm @ MCG

I reckon the spray Sam gave Meeky last week is a good indicator of the standards the club has set for themselves. This is the type of game that usually has me pretty nervous but that spray has given me real confidence that the boys are not going to let their standards slip.

NO TROLLS Elijah Hollands (GC-Carlton): Recent Developments & Mental Health Wellbeing

I think that phrases like "he feels like he's let people down" are incredibly unhelpful. Likewise "he struggled to get his way into it" feels out of touch. Hollands would be listening and it would reinforce feelings of shame and that Voss does not understand what's going on. In effect, Voss has...

NO TROLLS Elijah Hollands (GC-Carlton): Recent Developments & Mental Health Wellbeing

Obviously not. A good coach would emphasise that he is not doing well and then move on. To linger on his performance is ridiculous, unhelpful and shows him to be out of touch. Particularly in the context of what we saw and his own role in permitting what we saw to occur.

NO TROLLS Elijah Hollands (GC-Carlton): Recent Developments & Mental Health Wellbeing

He should have said Elijah is in a bad way and now is not the right time for questions.

NO TROLLS Elijah Hollands (GC-Carlton): Recent Developments & Mental Health Wellbeing

The focus on Hollands' performance is quite remarkable. I understand he is the coach and all that but Vossy is either a raging moron or thinks the general public are raging morons. He comes across as callous and out of touch.

    Reasons for disenchantment

So it's something to just passively accept?

    Reasons for disenchantment

Even in their defense they betray themselves. Why is footy now content?

Preview Round 5: Hawthorn vs Western Bulldogs, Saturday 11 April 2026, 7.35pm AEST @ Adelaide Oval

I agree but he still has another level to go to. Last year he was so impressive. A good game against an out of form Cameron is a step in the right direction.

    Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 5 - Hawks v Dogs Sat April 11th 7:35pm AEST/7:05pm (AO)

There have been some cracking home and away matches between these two teams in recent years. Looking forward to this. I think a genuine flip of the coin. Hoping Cam MacKenzie comes back in the for the hawks to add to our midfield rotations. Hawthorn should really capitalise on English's absence...

Preview Round 5: Hawthorn vs Western Bulldogs, Saturday 11 April 2026, 7.35pm AEST @ Adelaide Oval

My sister's wedding is in during this match. I hope the venue has a Kayo subscription 😁 Dogs looked poor in the second half against Essendon. You would assume that they would want to rectify that. Hopefully our pressure can match that. I reckon it can. I'd love Battle to have a big game. I was...
