    Retired Justin Clarke (2011-2016)

I think he's going quite well. He's had two or three games this year where he would look back and think he could have done a bit better, but that's being fairly picky, and considering there is a new coach to adjust to, and that many players struggle in their 2nd year at the top level, I would...

    Past Tom Rockliff (2008-2017)

He is the best player on our list. Three consecutive 30+ disposal, 10+ tackle games. That could be a record. He averages the most tackles per game in the comp this year, and is the 4th highest in average disposals.

    Delisted Claye Beams (2009-2018)

Looks good when he gets it but not getting it that often. Probably still a bit behind in his fitness.

    Traded Jack Redden (2008-2015)

Seems to be doing less tackling and more getting the ball this year. One cancels out the other to an extent, but I think he's taken another step forward in his development.

    Delisted Zachary O'Brien (2013-2015)

Just to elaborate I would have put him in our top 10 best players. Was having more of an impact than plenty of others.

    Delisted Ryan Harwood (2009-2017)

Looked about 5kgs lighter. Perhaps at the behest of Leppa.

    Delisted Jackson Paine (2014-2016)

Looks like the defender experiment is over. Struggling up forward too, but a small positive impact is preferable to a negative one. A lot of improvement required just to become a half-decent player.
  8. Grimreepah

    Delisted Zachary O'Brien (2013-2015)

Did as well as you could reasonably expect in game one. Well done Zac.
  9. Grimreepah

    Traded Pearce Hanley (2007-2016)

Leppitsch to Hanley: "that's more like it"

    Delisted Michael Close (2012-2017)

Just trying to describe where he's at. Most young key forwards tend to find it difficult early on in their careers, so I don't really think it is that harsh to suggest Close is struggling to make the grade at this stage.
  11. Grimreepah

    Delisted Mitchell Golby (2009-2015)

Rather than comparing him to a team full of teenagers, perhaps a better comparison would be his own standards. Was it far from his worst?
  12. Grimreepah

    Traded Pearce Hanley (2007-2016)

His kicking wasn't as erratic as last week, but all year his hurt factor has been well down from previous years. Just hasn't been able to break defensive structures apart with his run like he's been able to before. There's no telling possessions where he sets up goals or kicks them himself, and...
  13. Grimreepah

    Delisted Mitchell Golby (2009-2015)

Probably overplayed it a bit. Lindsay Thomas rarely uses his right foot, so Golby was entitled to anticipate him going on to his left. There was another incident where he could have shown a bit more urgency with a second effort. Then they had a go at him for smiling at half time which is...
  14. Grimreepah

    Delisted Michael Close (2012-2017)

He's not exactly setting the world on fire. Averaging four disposals a game from his four games (from memory he was subbed twice). He's not good at contested footy and I suspect he's not good at knowing where to run. Defensively he's above average, but overall he isn't producing much to get...
  15. Grimreepah

    Traded Tom Cutler (2013-2019)

Cutler looks like he may have hit a brick wall. If it wasn't for the bye next week I imagine he would have been made the sub or given a rest.
