Yeah even the Pies supporters gave up on him. He did have a footy in camp with him but , in his exit interview, he bemoaned the fact that there were no other AFL followers in there at all so it made it hard for him to connect. The group does seem very Sydney centric .

Souva had two hit outs when he had a stint in the ruck late in the game but that was it. Did drop two sitters, one a simple chest mark, about 30 out so should have had a better debut but ya gotta hold ‘em.

Corey McKernan in ‘93 and Byron Pickett in ‘97 both had shockers. Doubt they got a touch and were dropped but both had breakout years in the next season.
