Bud be happy with what we got. We picked up some young contracted players that wanted to play with us, kept our first and will pick up some mature bodies as DFA's or as rookies. Nearly as good is that not one of our young players or any player for that matter requested a trade out.

just heard from McClure on SEN. He cant see blues getting the deal done. Small chance shiel stays at GWS.

Perhaps he is a dummy or Dorks offered the longest contract.

Heard on SEN that should Scully retire due to a career ending injury there is no impact on the Dorks salary cap which mitigates their risks considerably. The 4 years might have been Scully's requirement for moving.

They will have to pay the price for that because a club will have to bid on him and consequently its not like they are getting Blakely plus another first rounder this year. There decline might be slower than the other two however it will happen.

Not so sure about that. Yes they have introduced plenty of kids but they have plenty of older players slowly declining. The academy does provide an advantage however they now have to pay a reasonable price and wont have any free hits.
