    he has to call play on before he can be tackled. he hadnt, you can see and hear it clearly.

    its incorrect. he hasn't moved off his line and clearly in the replay the umpire hasn't called or signalled play on until after the tackle is laid. thats my view on it. that's what the protected area is there for.
