Just in the body of the report, this line was worth noting:
If T20 Cricket is added to the Games as one of the locally added sports, Carrara Stadium will be required to host cricket matches.
I imagine so - Street, Lovell, Clayton (keep the UQ top three together), McDermott, Bryant . . . assume Wildermuth will be six unless they play all the bowlers and make the allrounder 12th.
In the Queen Street Mall yesterday, there several hundred fans queued up as players received the keys to the city from the Lord Mayor and then signed for two hours befor3 going to the Test where they had a presentation to a very appreciative crowd. Lots of teal in the Test crowd among the kids...
Just back from the game - crowd anounced at 29,155 - pretty impressive effort to draw that many with all the storms around the past few days. Exciting game from the cheap seats - plenty to keep us interested.
