The list isn't as good as we think and when they lose Danger, Cameron and Stengle they had zero replacements. It's very thin on the ground. They will be lucky to win this week?
What irks footy fans more than anything these past 20 years is Geelong's continuing competitiveness and it gives opposition fans the sh*ts. They have always defied the odds, but this season feels different, we've already seen the Grand Finalists play and there really is only the Lions, Suns...
A day before the first game in 2026 i've changed things around a little:
1. Geelong
2. Brisbane
3. Western Bulldogs
4. Fremantle
5. Hawthorn
6. Sydney Swans
7*. Gold Coast Suns
8*. St.Kilda
9* Adelaide
!0* Collingwood
So much for my first prediction pre season! After Round 1 i will settle on...
Grand Finalists have already played and it's just Round 1, The flag will be won by Lions, Swans, Giants, Dogs or Suns...I can't see anyone else getting near them... The AFL have a problem, this season could very well be all over for about 10 teams by round 6?
It looks like he will be extremely dominant playing with the Suns for the next 3 years, he was going through the motions last season and severely injured the year before. He didn't want to be at Melbourne and now has a new lease of footy life, he will end up being remembered as a Sun if they win...
Liked: Nothing, what was there to like for a Geelong fan?
Learnt: Cats have not improved the list one iota on 2025, they lack depth and will struggle against other clubs who have.
Hated: Knowing the season is pretty much lost after Round 1, the new Ruck rule will not work and opening round BS!
