The UN is a fundamentally symbolic organization founded on the principles of high-minded rhetoric and empty gestures.

Fat people are overloading our hospitals and we are trying to not overload our robust health system right now. So fat shaming people to stop being fat could be seen as good public health policy that protects us all, is for the greater good etc etc.
