wasn't ravel morrison the best youngster united have produced since scholes? i guess this is kind of like thinking you're going to sign sneijder, only to end up with carrick being the most regularly appearing midfielder in your team.
Both were outstanding. I'd say among the top five players on the ground. Lonergan's shutdown job on Cloke, who looked like tearing the game apart, was amazing. Highlight was in the second quarter when he outbodied Cloke, and managed to mark in a one-on-one. I wonder if those outside GFC will...
No, I've seen a bit of himn through both AFL and at VFL level with the Bullants.
That's only due to Carlton's lack of backman depth. The whole time he's been there, they've had Jamison and not a whole lot else. Height wise, he doesn't look too bad, but his body strength isn't really there. He's...
I think most clubs would be able to develop a third tall better than him. He's not big enough to consistently play KPD, doesn't have great awareness and isn't the quickest. He's also a very dirty player, which doesn't at all endear him to me.
I'd try to include him in some sort of deal with GWS to have a go at one of their 17 year olds if he's under contract for next year. Can't say I could see too many teams being terribly keen on him outside of that anyway. Clubs focus a lot on culture these days, and he certainly doesn't have a...
This is a great recent one. I know he had torn Shoenmakers apart, but this just felt like Hawkins' coming of age. Felt special because we'd been waiting for it for so long, and it felt like the players reacted in the same way.
This just means the forwards for us are going to have to work very hard. West and Hawkins need to guarantee that they'll be running and jumping into every contest possible. The likes of Bundy, Stokesy, Mitch and Chappy can take advantage of the spillages.
If I'm remembering right, that was in the third term against St. Kilda, and started to open the flood gates for us. He then followed up with this:

One of our most important players that game.
Not to mention he's got phenomenal disposal. Great hands, that can both...
Melbourne would never let Frawley go for just a Round One pick. He's pretty much the total package as a modern day backman. Brown, while not as well-rounded, would certainly be considered worth more to Collingwood too. Add in that he's at an amazingly strong club and will reform a partnership...
