Steve Waugh averaged something like 60 in the 90s which is insane given the quality of bowling and fairness of pitches in that era. Also better away than at home overall. -

+ Saqlain. Only problem was both Waqar (especially) and Wasim were past their best. Would have been amazing to have them all their peaks together. Early Waqar was ridiculous. -

It blows my mind blokes can consistently get bat on 160 deliveries (even if they look uncomfortable). 180 would be unplayable. 140+ is proper fast. If you can do that and land the ball on the pitch you should be playing grade somewhere. Either that or play D grade in some regional town for the... -

Tait. Most of those others knew exactly where the ball was going and hence could show you mercy if you bought them some chocolate or whatever. Tait doesn't have the control to have that option. Would not get in a net with him. -

I reckon ours have been historically (bar Henry). I won't talk to anyone else's because I have NFI. I reckon it's not remotely uncommon for WA products to be miles off. Fred for example. Strnadica might have been up the top of phantoms a year out as well. Don't remember where Farrow was a year...
