Mr Premier needs a strong plan here. Making global headlines by doing a backflip here is probably not going to play favourably for him. Given the Olympics are such a high profile event he will need to think beyond local group-think. International reputation has a fairly strong political impact.

I can’t think of any AFLW players who have done better at their new clubs vs staying with Brisbane. I’m sure they would say T Harris, but I’m not actually convinced.
