Scoreline really flattered Geelong there. Fair play to Port.

2026 Trade/Free agent targets for HFC

That will be a fitness thing. Once (if?) he can increase his tank then he will be ready to explode, ala Dusty, Petracca, Danger, JDG (for a few years at least, before injuries wore him down). Hopefully he's less Stringer-like with his fitness.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn : Jai “Duke” Newcombe - 2024 Peter Crimmins medalist - extends to 2032!

He will poll well in the brownlow again. His playstyle (rightly) gets votes. There are scarce few elite-level contested midfielders that can kick with such penetration and accuracy.

Toast Welcome to Hawthorn, Finn Maginness “absolute Hawthorn nuffie” and a Hawk to 2027

I think my post on the post-game thread was lost in the ether - should out to Finn, who had one of his best games for the club. He put in a quality performance. Selection is going to be very tough next week.

Autopsy Round 7, 2026: Hawks destroy Suns

C'mon now. GCS have a superstar midfield of Petracca, Rowell, Anderson, Miller and Humphrey. Witts has been a top five ruck, or thereabouts, for years. There is no way we were going to dominate from start to finish. They got a run-on, as any sides containing players of that calibre would. I...

Autopsy Round 7, 2026: Hawks destroy Suns

The Dons were hot garbage, but it's still incredible someone his age can get 43 touches, kick 2 goals, and look so smooth whilst doing it. He's just brilliant.

Could Kossie win the Brownlow this year? He'd probably be on double digit votes already.

2026 Trade/Free agent targets for HFC

Roddy and I do, now we have some cashmoney on the line. I'm aware it's not exactly their role, though both have spent some time playing HFF previously and elite midfielders generally hit the scoreboard regularly. With Butters being a recent exception. You've missed the main point though. If...

    Preview Round 7, 2026: Hawthorn v Gold Coast Suns, 25 April 2026, 12.30pm AEST @ York Park

It's impossible to tag Rowell and Petracca who do their best work on the contest. He's better suited to tag runners like Rioli, Noble, Miller (when he's playing forward in particular) and maybe Anderson too. I reckon he will go to one of those four.

2026 Trade/Free agent targets for HFC

Yeah I think if either of them were going to do it then it would be Mackenzie. I'd be happy to pay up if he does nail four goals in a game, regardless of touches. But given Ward has kicked 8 goals in 73 games, and Mackenzie has kicked 13 in 50 it's not looking likely at this stage.

2026 Trade/Free agent targets for HFC

He had 24 touches and kicked 3.2 in a close game against Adelaide in Adelaide, which they won by a goal. Also his 23 touch 4 goal game was against Sydney in Sydney, which they won by nine points.
