    Same person also followed it up with saying Zac Butters had made Geelong his #1 preference for a trade. Maybe started drinking earlier in the day - something I'm not necessarily against.

    Maybe. They tried the Martin as sub option earlier in the year but tactically later in the season have gone with a runner like Clark or Knevitt as sub.

    Leigh Montagna seems pretty confident that Stanley will play. Not sure if it's based on anything substantial but it would be very surprising if he did. Stanley in - Clark out. Bowes as sub? Blicavs replaces Bowes on the wing and goes to Weddle? No idea but we'll know in a few hours

    The more detailed radar analysis shows that when it does rain it will only be at the Hawthorn end of the ground thus allowing Geelong to continue on with free flowing and high scoring football.

    Agree that Stanley won't play but if that's the case the club has given up a strategic option naming him as an emergency if it was decided he wasn't fit enough to be selected in the 22. He's either fit or he's not.

    I'm not mistaking anything. I'm just making a personal observation as to how he appeared compared to previous press conferences. He normally controls the narrative in those things but that was certainly not the case today.
