Traded Xavier Duursma [Traded to Essendon for Zerk-Thatcher, #73, 2x F4]

I agreed with you, I was just pointing out that the dogs were willing to go overs for other reasons.

While I agree, they did that deal because their F/S would have eaten up the 10, 17 picks so they would have probably only got 1 first round pick. Now even thou they lost them they still get 2 first round picks.

Free Agency Jade Gresham [Joins Essendon as RFA]

I suppose that just depends on which journo you listen to.

Yes 13 for Shiel is overs, but the point is we are overpaying Gresham, which is what creates the pick in the first place. If we didn't overpay the compensation would be at best a second rounder. Which if you want Shiel you might be losing anyway. So from the saints point of view it is no different.

Well if your going to move our picks back to make it look worse you need to move pick 3 back at least 1 spot.

Could also swap out first next year with one of those end of first rounders you got, just little bits to add value as well. Not sure how it will be done thou.

Coach James Hird - is it time to give him a second chance at coaching an AFL club? Gil says yes!

If Essendon makes any choices based on what other club support bases or the media think then they should just blow the club up now.

We need to change the way we calculate percentage.

Yes but in the second game you won by a larger margin. If the game was still a 40 point margin say 130-90 the % increases to only 103.67%. Meaning that a win in a higher scoring game is worse then the same margin in a lower scoring game.

Recruiting Trade & Free Agency VIII

Assuming they get 11 and 13 from Geelong I think that would be more likely to happen with 13 coming back to us.

Recruiting Trade & Free Agency VIII

If we trade a future forth for Peter Wright and/or Caldwell that means we cant trade our future first without first getting another one through a trade right? It will be interesting to see what we want to offer for Dunkley.

Recommitted Josh Dunkley [OOC 2022, requested a trade to Essendon, didn't get there]

One outside the box Essendon player the dogs could want is Patrick Ambrose. One of those players that opposition fans don't even think of but he is a very good lockdown defender, while it defiantly wont be a straight swap he is a KPD that the dogs might want as a steak knives player. Also a...

Recruiting Trade & Free Agency VIII

Reading the update put out by Power yesterday I didn't get the feeling of 'There is no way we wont trade Dunkley' more just we would strongly prefer not to. Maybe there was other things he said before that weren't quoted.

I think being an Essendon fan just the fact that he wants to come is good enough for me.

I've noticed with AFL media that if the news is massive they will just say it straight up because you will click on the link anyway, if its a nothing article they will use clickbait. If Dunkley said either I'm going or staying it would be everywhere already.
