Full forward not ruck... although he will probably chop out ruck

Hot Topic Michael Voss - Coaching in 2026. Should he remain beyond that?

I have a mate who is heavily involved with Essendon. He says Hird has been sounded out. Don't shoot the messenger just sharing. I hope it's rubbish because if true the optics would be poor.

I was at the captain's run last week in Adelaide...had a photo with Lij and he was really sketchy. He's clearly on some sort of meds. I personally don't think it's an illicit thing...I've got mates on anti depressants that sometimes are out of whack. Either way shouldn't have taken the field.

I hear what you're saying but I'm a big believer in system over people. That's why the good teams seem to cover injuries. They can plug and play because theyre well drilled. Im not sure that players can solely fix our inability to retain the ball in our 50, the ease that oppo teams transition...

There are fundamental flaws in our system. Selecting guys who can "play the modern game" isn't changing that.

Well I watched the north game where Wilson didn't do much and Ison got on the end of things. Young was a point of difference with his leading patterns. I suspect you'd be less bored if wilson and ison were in but im sorry I think it's too soon for them. For me it's system not people

Wilson or ison in would not change that

They are a good transition team... an area the crows killed us in until we were saved by the rain. We seem incapable of locking the ball in our front half and until we improve this we will continue to be exposed.
