News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

The smog is incredible. It once wasn't a thing, but it's a regular sight and has been a progressively worsening sight these past 10-15 years. A sad situation really. Overwork, proximity to place of work, increased time to get to work, less time with families, less physical activity are...

News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

In Australia we have growing incidences of cancer, heart disease and respiratory problems. Simply having more green spaces and cleaner air is a starting point. Further to that it helps with physical and psychological wellbeing. It's also important in combating air pollution and creating...

News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

I agree strongly with you sports/sports performance/medicine/sports entertainment and related industries need to be among Melbourne's points of difference and it already is. In the education sector and health sectors I also agree we need to push this further and we need to continue upgrading our...

News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

As an aside, I'm really pleased with the direction of Fisherman's Bend and the plan to make that residential. Looks like it will be a nice spot. Lots of green spaces planned. More public transport will be needed to that Port Melbourne area. But the development idea and the plans for what it will...

News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

Melbourne needs more rather than less green space. It encourages greater physical activity, promotes greater air quality - both of which are key variables towards health of residents to those in Melbourne, East Melbourne, along St Kilda Road and Carlton and also is nice for those visiting...

News Collingwood involved in new sports hub

Any investment in research and creating economic points of difference I view as a positive politically. A project with Collingwood involved that can further the club's brand. And having everything on sight that's easy access for Collingwood. As long as nothing completed impacts upon or limits...

I agree on Budarick. He should also be there.

No sign that he can play forward from any of his other games. Until he starts going forward and kicking more goals, it's a one off that you can't assume he can replicate with regularity.

    Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

Frustratingly I have not received any stats this week. Fortunately it looks like AFLDraftCentral did. They listed: Green 11 disposals, 3 marks. Delahunty 4 disposals, 4 tackles and one goal.

Fairly solid through the ruck. Competitive enough. Not an easy task v VFL grade ruckmen. Good to see him take a grab up forward and convert a goal. Skills seemed fine. Seems like a ruckman with scope to improve. It's good to see there is more than just Jackson can play the position.

    Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

The interstate talent this year is closer to the norm rather than particularly thin but in SA, WA and the Div 2 states relative to last year I view the talent as thinner and that's because of how exceptional those groups were last year with SA and Div 2 produce more quality talent than they ever...

    Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

Thanks for passing on the comments. Had not seen or been exposed to this draft watchers view. There are parts I agree on and parts I don't as you'd expect by some of my earlier comments that contrast with this draft watchers. On 2018 firstly my view is the very pointy end is among the best...

    Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

Maginness I look at as a mid-draft chance. I'd rate him around 30-50 at this early stage. He's one some have thrown up during the preseason as a possible top 10 pick, but for me if any are talking about him like that, he's one of a larger group of players I feel has been hyped beyond his...

    Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

O'Neil? Pickett really elevated twice but both times felt like unrealistic attempts. Nice to see he can get up, but unless he's a realistic chance I'd rather he stay at ground level. A few times he wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Did kick a goal in the end and his final quarter was his...
