    The Woodsmen looking good for the Bris South title. Coorparoo appear to have swapped teams so look good for North. Surfers, one of the new teams, anre flying out of the blocks and on top for GC and Maroochydore appear a step ahead on SC.

    So the issue in SEQ is the QAFL clubs have the added pressure to provide a direct pathway for their juniors and youth. Understanding this inherent preference perhaps these “one club” approaches are part of the problem. It’s a massive recruiting tool in Youth as well.

    You’d be going way back I’d reckon to a different era. The actual competition structures themselves now run a very distant second in priority to the thirst for any media on game growth (true or embellished), feel good stories or woke agenda.
