    we got compensation for loosing Draper and Daniher as free agents. You can't include that for crying out loud. The Daniher compo was total bullshit, too, in that we gamed that one and got a stupidly good deal that isn't allowed nowadays

    it's bullshit, yes, but entirely irrelevant. The rules at the time were that if you won less than (from memory) 4 games in one season you got a PP. It's insane to consider now but that was the AFL rules at the time, in their wisdom. Can't ever forget because (of course!) they changed the rule...
