    The * supporter base are a funny lot, I just read a comment in the Herald Sun (the comments are 99 percent of the reasons I read it) that stated ‘I’d rather fall with Hird than win a premiership with Longmire’…. Like Longmire is the questionable one.

    He does want them to apply, just enough to say we ran a world class process and Jimmy was the best.

    You can balance the scales without revisiting the scene of the crime. He could talk about hubris and ego in other settings and stop others going down the same route. Going back and thinking victory means redemption just displays he doesn’t understand accountability at all.

    Redemption is just a word to justify his privilege in having the opportunity to do better in this case. It’s selfish. Real redemption comes from accepting your misdeeds and trying to balance the scales without self benefit. Maybe I’m being harsh and waxing a bit too philosophical.
