  • Hey guys,

Long time reader around these parts, first time poster.

As a disgruntled St Kilda supporter, I’m wondering if anyone here could point me to someone I could look 2 4 guidance.

Our club is rubbish and I’m not happy. Everything about it. On-field, off-field, you name it. Our players are no good, our coaches are no good, our facilities are no good, and we’re poor.

I’m looking right at the top. Our captain. Hardly a real man/leader of men. The players should be looking 2 him 4 guidance, but I can’t blame them for not. Just look at his blonde hair. He’s a big boy but doesn’t play like it. I’d like to see him take a pack mark once in a while, Brown/Mooney style, but it’s not going to happen. Floating around the wing and missing crucial set shots makes me sad. 

Our supposed “superstar” player, Nick Dal Santo, yep, the guy only us Saint fans think is good, will he ever do something tough? Maybe inspire us once in a while? Win a hard ball perhaps? That Ablett fellow from down the highway is only a little bloke, surely if he can do it then so can our boys. Maybe Dal should look 2 him 4 some footballing guidance.

The softness disease doesn’t stop there either. Our big strong key defender Sam Fisher seems to have a phobia of people, and can’t seem to man up. A lot of our fans think he’s great, better than, ummmm, say, Matthew Egan. Our supporters overrate our club way too much.

Can’t say I’m happy with the efforts of Robert Harvey and Fraser Gehrig either. Selfish behaviour of them to play on in 2008. So far past their used by date both of them. Taking the spot of youngsters that might actually have a positive impact on the side. I suggest these two blokes look 2 Abe Simpson 4 guidance. You know, to get a feeling for life as a useless elderly person.

And what’s the deal with Ross Lyon? I didn’t mind the appointment of him as our coach. He’d been at the Swans for a while, and they’re a quality unit, so I thought he might have picked up a few smart pointers about success. Unfortunately not. Ross has tried to make us play like the Swans, but it’s a huge failure. Our boys are too soft, it’s never going to work. We have guys like the two Clarke’s in our side, there’s no way that guys like them can play tough like the Swans. Perhaps Ross shouldn’t have looked 2 Paul Roos 4 guidance.

Recruiting has been another real poor point for us. Why the hell did we get guys like Charlie Gardiner, Jaydn Attard, Adam Schneider, Shane Birss, Steven King, Sean Dempster and Michael Gardiner? Hopeless the lot of them, probably why they can get a game for us. I wonder who Ross Lyon looked 2 4 guidance about those trades. I think he would have been better to look 2 Al Clarkson or Bomber Thompson 4 guidance in that area. Good, smart coaches who have built squads of home grown talent, with only a smidgen of trades.

I used to love listening to SEN. It was good to listen 2 4 guidance about all things footy. Then along came our ex-coach Grant “cornflakes” Thomas. Bitter, bitter man he is. Sueing the club too apparently. The amount of dribble that comes out of his mouth makes us the laughing stock of the competition. I don’t listen any more but I’m sure he still believes we’re the only team capable of challenging the Cats. I suggest Grant look 2 someone 4 mental health guidance.

A few years ago that Paul Chapman bloke (tough little bugger he is) claimed his Cats were better than our Saints. Like the rest of us St Kilda fans I laughed at the claims. I thought we had the talent to win a flag in the coming years. Well I was wrong, and Chappy was right. I’m well and truly off our bandwagon of premiership chance. I just hope the rest of us Saints fans hop off too because they’re just making fools of themselves be continuing to believe it’s true. 

But thanks for reading guys, look forward 2 your guidance. In the meantime I might go and watch my Streak DVD and look 2 it 4 guidance on how to be good at football.

    Cheers.
