    Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Bombers v Freo Sun May 17th 1:10pm (MCG)

Given that Voss was delisted because of his off field stuff and has admitted himself that it was the kick up the bum he needed I suspect that the level he's playing at now is because of Essendon delisting him and not a bad decision by them. Credit to Voss for taking the lesson and bettering...

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Swans v Pies Fri May 15th 7:30pm AEST (SCG)

An AFL coaches role is to best prepare his side for a premiership. Whilst winning seasons along the way are nice I doubt supporters are going to care long term if it's not resulting in a premiership ala Hinkley and to a lesser extent Longmuir at Fremantle. Assume for a moment that Pendelbury...

Autopsy 6 point win vs Collingwood

Anyone is surprised by the result doesn't know their recent history. Has been a repeated theme for a while that Sydney sides at the top of the table have trouble with the mid table sides and make games harder than they should be. Suspect is a mindset more than a personnel thing given how often...

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Swans v Pies Fri May 15th 7:30pm AEST (SCG)

To be fair beating 10th and 12th is a big achievement when you are 17th as North usually are

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Swans v Pies Fri May 15th 7:30pm AEST (SCG)

Historically speaking, the games Sydney should win easy on paper are the games they struggle. This is par for the course.

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Swans v Pies Fri May 15th 7:30pm AEST (SCG)

It wasn't. Was a lucky break for Collingwood in the end as the continued play had spilt through Collingwood hands to a group of Sydney players. Terrible decision ended up helping them

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 10 - Swans v Pies Fri May 15th 7:30pm AEST (SCG)

Suspect a game very similar to the Sydney vs North game last week. Sydney good enough in patches to win but not convincingly.

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round - 10 Lions v Cats Thurs May 14th 7:30pm AEST (Gabba)

Incorrect decision the way the rule is written. However given how soft the effort from Morris was, suspect the umpire penalised him for playing it up. If this is the case, zero issue with the decision to not pay 50 and should happen more often

Autopsy 8 point win vs North

It wasn't working because they were forcing it instead of allowing it to develop naturally. Corridor handballs cost more goals than they create as most of the time it's a release kick that allows that play to develop naturally.

Autopsy 8 point win vs North

Nope too many senior players with nothing upstairs and a culture that is too gutless to call it out. Curtis, Zurhaar, Xerri, Comben. If North want to move forward and become a genuine contender these players need to pull their head out their arse or be delisted.

Autopsy 8 point win vs North

Most of those points conceded were because of dumb handballs that resulted in turnovers. The reason we kicked more accurately was that when we didn't dumb handball trying to force overlap run and allowed it to develop naturally via a release kick and mark we were able to cut North apart. That...

    Autopsy AFL 2026 Rd 9 - North v Swans - Sat May 9th 12:35pm (Marvel)

North pressured well all game and Sydney responded poorly to it for most of the game. The parts of the game Sydney were able to stay composed and not panic handball they scored. It's a combination of both Sydney being poor and North pressurising well.

    Autopsy AFL 2026 Rd 9 - North v Swans - Sat May 9th 12:35pm (Marvel)

Exactly the reason why field umpires should stay the f out of scoring decisions. You have a field umpire to make decisions on the field and a goal umpire to make decisions re scores. The issue with throws not being called is that the game moves so fast and umpires are asked to adjudicate based...

    Autopsy AFL 2026 Rd 9 - North v Swans - Sat May 9th 12:35pm (Marvel)

Zero issue with our defence today. Most of that was created by poor decision making putting Sydney team-mates under more pressure. North pressured well all game, Sydney responded poorly to it for 3 quarters. Cut out the poor decision making and the defensive stuff improves.
