We were all expecting (hoping) the ins would be King and Dow. Instead we got Howard and Hastie. If we can reduce the loss to less than last week I reckon that'll be a win
Had two days to calm down after that pathetic performance on Thursday. I'm long past giving up excuses for the team letting us down but for the time being I'll try to be positive.
I can't imagine a performance like that with all of King, Crouch, Wood, Henry, Clark, Dow, Howard and Webster in...
Never been a Hill fan but I've liked his year so far. Finally he's resembling the player we thought we were getting. So important with our current outs that he keeps it up. Think him and Henry would make a great duo.
I think it's time to take the kids gloves off with Max. We've kept him in cotton wool, frightened he'll get injured and yet he still does. We are crying out for support for Roma and we've got two mobile 2m guys on our list in Max and Howard who are both frustrating the hell out of us. Time to...
I'm pretty confident we'll make a game of it. Don't know whether we'll sneak a win but I'm not expecting the blow out others seem to be. Admittedly it's not a good time to play the Giants when we have five or six mids unavailable for selection.
I just feel the Giants form whilst good, is in...
Even allowing for our half a dozen best 22 being out I don't think there would've been any coming back from a one goal first half if Lynch, Balta, Baker, Prestia, Hopper and Grimes had all played.
Our first half needs to be heavily reviewed in that light.
Making season defining assessments after 4 close games is dangerous. It's not inconceivable we could be sitting 4-0 if we'd taken out chances and everyone would be talking up our top four chances.
Equally, we could quite easily be 0-4 if we'd cocked up late against the Pies and Tiges and then...
Check out 2009. RTB as Coach and Misson as High Performance Manager (or similar). Don't think we had one soft tissue injury for the year and we had the lightest injury list in the comp. Admittedly that's not Misson's rule now but he'd still have to be all over it.
I can't believe it's any more...
Oh boy, have I seen this movie before over all the years I've followed the Saints. The two clubs I dislike the most are Geelong and Essendon (yep not Collingwood). Despite a few wins against them in recent seasons they both seem to hold the wood over us. So what's happened so far. Two close...
Over the years it's always seemed we've gone into games against this mob as the favorites. On far too many of them they've rolled us. For that reason alone I'm always wary when we play them.
The Pies last night franked our form but the Bombers were good against against Sydney last week. Our...
