    Preview Rnd 6 - Carlton v Hawthorn Sunday April 28th 3.20PM @ UTAS - Team Post #1331

In a perfect world (where we had decent small forwards), going with one less tall forward would of course be a better option. But where the change is Polson for Charlie, I'm perfectly happy to go in with this line-up. Polson's 61% game-time and 2-tackles are hardly difficult to replace, and I'd...

Game Day Practice Match Carlton v Hawthorn - February 21st 4.00PM @ Princes Park

Crazy how quickly people turn on 2nd year players, expecting them to make some huge leap as if they are all of a sudden 25 year olds in their prime.

    Preview Rnd 13- Carlton v Gold Coast Saturday 13th June 7.25PM @ Metricon - Team post #296

Fair point regarding Fisher's disposal, but can't agree at all with the first point. Not sure if you're watching at the ground or not, but his decision making when the other team has the ball is excellent. It's incredibly clear at the ground sometimes that corralling is a better option than...

    Preview Rnd 2 - Carlton v Melbourne Sunday 2nd April 3.20pm @ MCG - Final Team post #990

Not saying he is a long term solution, but you can't go dropping 8-9 guys every week just because they don't have a "positive performance". Additionally, pretending that structure isn't an important part of team selection is just plain ignorant. Until we have another second ruckman who can also...

    Preview Rnd 2 - Carlton v Melbourne Sunday 2nd April 3.20pm @ MCG - Final Team post #990

People suggesting for Alex Silvagni to come in as a "calming influence" have absolutely not watched enough of him. He panics with the ball in hand every bit as much as Rowe, if not more so. Lots of undeserved Levi bashing going on as well. Not saying he was great last night but he was far...

    Analysis 2016 List Management Discussion

Agree with most of this, however, are they in the position to demand a premium when playing guys in the 2s? IMO takes him from being worth pick 5-10 to somewhere around 12-18. Lack of effort is something that should be built in to player value, not disregarded. Think of someone like Menzel...

    Analysis 2016 List Management Discussion

Get Aaron Hall somehow SOS. I know he's not the perfect age but he'd complement Cripps so well bursting out of the centre towards goals. The parallels between Mick and Eade right now are growing more apparent.

    Rumour Bluemour Discussion thread

Don't think he would. He'd be nowhere near a spot in our backline given our depth there.

    Past Bryce Gibbs

Cannot handle people comparing him to Watts. Gibba had a down year last year (almost entirely ruined by injury) after showing plenty in the years before that. While his current form should be praised, it's important not to do so by diminishing some of the good years he has given to the club.

    Preview Rd 9 - Carlton v North Saturday 21st May 7.25pm @ Etihad - Changes post #539

MK is no where near as good a tap ruckman as Goldy is. While it can be done, it's certainly a more difficult task that winning the ball from your own ruckman, not to mention the fact that Goldy has enormous impact all over the ground.

    Preview Rnd 8 - Carlton v Port Sunday 15th May 1.10PM @ Etihad

I completely agree that if Curnow was fit, he's a perfect candidate to play in Walker's position. Walker may well be "cooked", but deserves at least another week or 2 to get some playing time under his belt, given that he hasn't played at all since round one. Also, I hardly think that Everitt...

Another factor to consider with Walker is that he at least forces a somewhat difficult matchup for them given his marking ability.

Can't include Dre in that group. Yes he dropped a few sitters but there's no way we will drop a guy who had 20 disposals, 8 marks and 3 goals. That type of production can't be ignored, particularly when there is no one in the 2s in a similar position who is pushing for a spot.
