Game Day 2026 Rd 7 Carlton vs Fremantle 25th April 8:15PM AEST @ Optus Stadium

I'd rather Jagga play VFL then keep playing him like this. Killing his confidence. Surely theres a happy medium between him playing full time mid in his 2nd year vs virtually getting no mid time at all?

You can still lodge it — whether it gets up is another question. My point was more that even getting it in front of a court puts pressure on the AFL and creates bad optics, regardless of whether it ultimately succeeds.

Im not sure we could beat the AFL in court but we could go down legal avenues such as seeking an injunction to apply pressure. The AFL would hate the optics of that. We should have fought this out more publicly from the start. I know we have been talking behind the scenes but this afl...

Hot Topic Michael Voss - Coaching in 2026. Should he remain beyond that?

    Couldnt be much worse though.

They should try something legally but I doubt they will.

Yes, Austin should be somewhat prepared given changes to the draft had been alluded to prior to last years trade period. We clearly have prepared otherwise I doubt we trade Curnow. But that doesnt make the timing defensible from an AFL perspective. Clubs should have finalised rules 2 years...

Hot Topic Michael Voss - Coaching in 2026. Should he remain beyond that?

Bit of a sliding doors moment. Melbourne moved on Goodwin and got King. Looks a great move early despite them losing 2 of their best players. I wonder if Wright looks at that and thinks, should I have been braver? I dont believe Voss survives last year at another club. I think Carlton did...

Because Swan is dumb and the AFL reactive.

I feel like they might have given up something our way at least. Maybe discounts for bottom teams rather than just additional loading for top teams. And god, I hope they drop that free end of first round picks for teams that bid. The single worst idea I have ever heard of (which is saying...

Hot Topic Michael Voss - Coaching in 2026. Should he remain beyond that?

As much as people are saying the opposite I think the Elijah fiasco probably keeps Voss safe a bit longer. Im not sure they let him go until this is resolved. They wont want to be a leader down, even if hes not doing a great job, with the club under so much pressure. Plus, in the short term it...

Opinion The 'Carlton related stuff that doesn't need it's own thread' thread Part 3

Most likely, yes. Though I think there's been so much conjecture, they will say if he's passed the drug test. In his best interests to clear him. If nothing is said he's probably failed.

Universal Love Welcome to Carlton Graham Wright

I dont get the feeling Wright is a great speaker. More a thinker. Hopefully the right kind. Not ideal but not the end of the world either. You get some leaders who are great talkers but terrible at everything else. Often theyre the ones that trick you because perception is so often built off...

Autopsy 2026 Rd 6 Collapse. Copy. Paste.

Pretty ridiculous suggestion 😂😂. They could withdraw him and delist him without humiliating themselves and him in front of 80,000 people.

The concern comes from the fact we severely lack skill as a team and are about to use a mammoth haul of draft picks, to take a player also deficient in that area. Despite that I havent heard many people say we shouldnt take Cody. I think its more about setting fair and realistic expectations...

Yeah he looks off balance when he kicks alot of the time. Kicks from weird positions.
