    Opinion Commentary & Media IX

She’s good, however whoever she was in the box with Thursday night need to take a good hard look at themselves. I was getting really triggered. They were not commentating the play by play at all. The one thing you really need when listening in the car. For about 10 minutes they were joking...

Player Watch #12: Jy Simpkin [Part II] - staying at North in 2026 + won't feature in leadership group as Larkey set to be named captain

Wow Clarko’s acknowledgment of Jy in the post-match almost had me in tears. Just awesome. The trade period appears to have really been a turning point for Jy. I actually feel like Clarko might have saved his career by staying true to the fact he’s a required player and he is a wingman. I...

Player Watch #7: Zane Duursma - 15 goals so far in 2026 - R.Beveridge says club yet to open contract talks with Duurs

Shinboner Sam on Dan Does Footy just said he signed this morning. I can’t see anything anywhere though. That would be an incredible reward for him but also the club for getting him to buy right back in.

Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion II

You can’t fix a million things. However there are two extremely obvious changes that would make us a better side. Daniel out of the side and Colby to half back. They’re the same liability from a defensive perspective, but Colby has a more penetrating kick and is more elusive with the ball. You...

Autopsy Big Loss to Crows, sometimes it is over before the fat lady sings.....

Got my mate who works at the Tiser to ask about Daniel and why we keep persisting when McKercher is the perfect player for that position. Haven’t heard the response yet but he said it was waffle.

Autopsy Big Loss to Crows, sometimes it is over before the fat lady sings.....

Got down to the race. They couldn’t look up. What’s worse is there were people there with their kids clapping them. Wtf are we doing here. Would not see me dead with my young one clapping that putrid effort. Even our supporters condone mediocrity.

Game Day Rd 10 Roos v Crows 1:15pm Adelaide Oval

Haha mate with all due respect you will understand in about 5 years cause you’re about to go through the exact same period. There’s no such thing as expecting to win.

Game Day Rd 10 Roos v Crows 1:15pm Adelaide Oval

I came today thinking this will be a 4 goal honourable loss. It’s 11 f****** goals and it’s half time. The ***** are weak as piss honestly. Nothings f******* changed. Going to make sure I leave my seat at the 15 minute mark to get to the race so I can eyeball a few of them.

Autopsy Autopsy - Heartbreaker vs GWS - **** the ARC

I know X had a good game but I thought Clarkson dropped the ball by putting him back in the ruck late. We needed to roll the dice with a different look and Trembath has proven what he can do in there. X needed to sit for the rest of it IMO.

Powell and Corr should not play next week. Garbage.

Game Day Game Day - GWS v NMFC in Canberra, 4.40pm

You can just see what is happening here. Complete domination by us, but dumb error after dumb error lets the stick around. You can’t afford to waste period of domination like this.

    Player Watch #10: Colby McKercher

Just thinking about this guy and I have a couple of points. It feels like whenever he gets the ball with a little bit of space he is somewhat untouchable. He almost invites pressure to take multiple defenders out of the play once he evades them. It feels like he could do 11 U-turns if he wanted...

Player Watch #12: Jy Simpkin [Part II] - staying at North in 2026 + won't feature in leadership group as Larkey set to be named captain

Trembath might want a word, but yes he’s certainly up there. Stephens probably deserves a mention too.

Player Watch #12: Jy Simpkin [Part II] - staying at North in 2026 + won't feature in leadership group as Larkey set to be named captain

I think Jy is playing some of his best footy atm. Seems to really be enjoying himself. Winning helps.

The underrated part was BGZ having the presence of mind to let Simpkin burn through and take it. It seems simple, but we’ve sure as hell had players do dumber s*** than crash into someone that’s about to kick the sealer in the past 6 years.
