every team is susceptible to high level pressure. Its not just that. Its missing targets off the backline (blakey being a prime example given just how good his kicking can be) which could convert pressure into space up the field. I dont think hawthorn are as good at this but if, under pressure...
These guys don’t grow on trees. North got the best state league player, one Toby pink and he’s struggling. We reached for hamling and Francis in recent years.
There’s not a lot out there
This was what it was against Essendon as well. And port absolutely showed them for the pretenders they are. Our last three weeks have been genuine mid table level
Most on this site, the media and I suspect more than a few players thought they were contenders in March. It’s a long slog from here...
I like florent - he’s become reliable but reliable in a one to two missed kicks in space per match.
I wonder whether his career went where he expected as a super elusive mid who slipped forward to kick goals to a lockdown half back back pocket.
It’s funny because that’s how I see melican. I see and magnify the two or three times he goes to spoil and misses with his opponent left untended and think to myself oh dear not again.
Whereas you see him as the 98 times in a 100 he does the right thing
Happy to go to the bye with a win. Not much else. The last eight quarters and much of the Essendon game were poor.

Hmm well I disagree
think they are trying to flick the ball forwards all the time and they miss.
On top of this they miss the steadying of rampe in the backline and it’s really heeney or bust in the midfield. And I hate having the talks in the forward line.
It’s really only Warner that...
That’s just not true. They are playing like millionaires as they did for much of the match against Essendon.
They try to go through the corridor by hand all the time and they are so predictable because of it
Blakey kicking the ball to his opponent is a skill error. Missing shots in the first...
