Wow. Poor Richmond. What will they do now?

Disappointing if that's how it went down. At the end of the day though even Longmire, (who 99% of our players seemed to love) had fractured relationships with a couple of players who left.

Players who's career was ruined by injuries?

Good to see he's now doing well as a coach. His career is one of the biggest what if's in our clubs history.

7 new rules - AFL Rule Changes for 2026

Grundy will suffer from the new centre ball up rule I think. Won't stop him around the ground though.

"At all centre ball-ups, competing rucks will now be unable to cross the centre line before engaging with their opposition ruck. This is born from a desire to see the jumping rucks return to the game." This rule change will have a bit of an impact on Brodie who absolutely mastered the art of...

How dangerous are Sydney now they've landed Curnow?

    Played 3 finals for 2 wins, 1 loss. Averages 10 disposals, 1 goal, 5 marks (3 contested)

Harsh but fair. That's a terrible record. I really hope we've changed our strategy to just getting the best available, highest rated talent instead of trying to be clever.

Mega Thread The Former Player Thread: Part 2

For sure. One of my all time favourite swans highlights was not just his goal, but the pump up he gave the crowd and his teammates after it, like "come on, we can bury these campaigners"

It's sometimes easy to forget just how good he was until you see highlights like this. Literally looked like a grown man playing against under 12s at times.

Player Watch #35 Charlie Curnow - Welcome to Sydney

The bright side is that thanks to the academy we have quite a few players from NSW now, so there's a much bigger chance that one of our main rivals will be impacted by injury than we will.
