You only have four interchange anyway.

    Opinion Your 2026 R1 team

Fogarty kicked 11 goals last year in 20 games. That was his best return. He has kicked 36 goals in his 90 game career. He can't kick over a jam tin. He's not very good. What's saving him is that he's a pet of Vossy's. The trouble is you win games by kicking goals, not by laying tackles even...

Newman hasn't participated in match sim yet. So let's see what happens. I'd rather he had a bit more time.

    Opinion Your 2026 R1 team

I'm going to assume that Newman and Acres won't be ready for the first game. B: Cowan, Weitering, Wilson HB: Carroll, Dean, Saad C: Walsh, Cripps, O Hollands HF: Hayward, McKay, Ainsworth F: Williams, O'Keeffe, Evans Foll: Pittonet, Lord, Smith Int: Kemp, Hewitt, Cerra, Florent, Byrne Emerg: L...

    1. Where's Frank the Tank? 2. Who takes Haynes spot for the first game? It's either L Young, McGovern or Wilson.

    Haynes is out.

    Analysis 2025 Draft watch

How long do you want to wait until success? 32 years, 34 years, 36 years or longer? We can not wait. We need talent now. Don't trade current picks into future drafts. It's an endless putting off until tomorrow what you can do today.

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

I understand. I'm sure not it's going to happen that way. If Dean is still available at 11 then they're likely to trade for lower picks once and be done with that. Then see how low the picks go before a Dean bid comes in. The key is not to lose total points value when you trade down.

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

I don't think Essendon will agree to this. Picks 9, 11 and 43 total 2744. Picks 6, 21, 27 and 30 total 3367. That is a gain of 623 points for nothing. Essendon need to match bids as well for their academy players. If you take off Pick 30 then the difference is 169. Essendon might be prepared...

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

I can only see three players getting bid on before Pick 9, that being Uwland, Patterson and Annable. That would take Pick 9 out to Pick 12. Who are the other two players that you think will be bid on before Pick 9? I don't see any logic that says Pick 16 next year is better than Pick 12 this...

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

Why would you need to move Pick 11 back bit by bit? If Dean doesn't get bid on before 9 then you have a free hit on best available which may be Grlj or Schubert. Then you match Dean at 10 or select him at 11. Picks 43 and 54 which will come in due to Gold Coast and Brisbane academy selections...

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

So would you trade Pick 9 for a future first with Geelong, Brisbane, Gold Coast or Hawthorn? That would be crazy.

Draft Review 2025 AFL Draft General Discussion

Carlton should not trade for a future first. They already have two. How do you know what guarantees Walker? The AFL have not confirmed the rules yet. They have already hinted that you may only be allowed to use two picks and you won't know how valuable Carlton's and Sydney's R1 picks are until...

Not only that. Kennedy and Masten (Pick 3) won a premiership at West Coast. Judd didn't win one at Carlton. So we lost.
