Didn't Clarko fly overseas to work with Ange? Makes sense the birth of Northball. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts before clubs plan to counteract it.
I'm sure it will become refined through the year and coming years. At least there's a consistent game plan for all the boys...
Hope the young fella at Therry Penola is going okay. Bad leg break a couple minutes into the 3rd. Game called off and taken away by ambulance. Talented player
The uproar in the media and with other clubs hopefully shows we're on the right track. For all the comments that we've put ourselves in this position, they're certainly becoming contradictory when they feel we're now taking advantage of the system.
Finally we have some strong leadership off...
Not sure if there is another thread for this, but is there a go to pub for before and after North games? Do we tend to gather at somewhere like platform 28 or mail exchange, etc?
I don't understand either. I was up behind the goals last Sunday and you can clearly see we still are playing a zone. It really stopped their ball movement when it was set up well. There were occasions where we didn't protect the corridor well enough and this was when they would cut us up.
Trying to turn this into a positive, hopefully it allows the other mids to develop and not rely on LDU. Already think Phillips is playing better. Helped Cunnington when Swallow was out for a year.
Just hope they can all mesh when LDU eventually returns.
Interesting to see most have Oakleigh being relegated at the end of the season. Only team to defeat PEGS last year. I know Peninsula struggled last year, but any reason they can't bounce back?
Anyone else noticed he seems to be a lot more open to the social media team?
Might be reading too much into it, but I feel like he has a fresh perspective and seems a bit more comfortable out of his shell. Can't wait to see him play next year
Would North go into the draft thinking that mid sized players develop quicker compared to key position players? Considering we want to improve quickly, maybe we will be focusing on free agency or mature players to find our KPP like Logue and CCJ.
Essentially just called him out for wanting a trade from a bottom side that picked him first in the draft. Mentioned that he should have a heart and be apart of building the club again. Then said he's half the player of Nick Daicos.
Woodford is naturally a loud mouth, but there's 6-8 North boys...
Cam's off season S & C coach also posted a rant a while ago about JHF and his pea heart when it first came out he was asking to leave. Probably says a bit about the group's thoughts as a lot of the young North boys train at WoodfordSSC.
Woodford also trained the Daicos boys and has a soft spot...
I feel like you could see Jy's kicking improve towards the end of the year anyway. It's not his kicking that I think is his problem, it's his decision making. Or lack of.
Towards the end of the year I felt he would find the outlet with his kicking and would hit targets more often than not...
You'd hope the club act professionally about this and take all emotion out of it.
If he doesn't want to be here, then p*** off. A strong culture and buy in from everyone builds success, not an individual.
What's the point of keeping him for 12 months when his value is likely to deteriorate...
I also held the same opinion, but popped on the rose coloured glasses when we signed him. Now I'm back to square one.
Based on his statement I believe his legal teams objective is to make this as muddy as possible so that North are forced to commit to the 5 year contract. They'll only worry...
In a 22 player team sport, no individual is greater than the team. Sure, we can live without Scott but I believe we are worse team without him.
GAJ didn't win any premierships at GC, Fyfe still yet to win one and the Hawthorn dynasty continued without a generational talent in Buddy.
