    HDFL Season 2024

Is there an article on the juniors playing up rule or anything like that? Seems weird that it's being enforced.

    Limestone Coast FL Discussion 2024

I see that the LCFL will have under 14.5 and under 17.5. Previously it was 14s, 16s and 18s, due to the change there's now Mount clubs with two sides in each grade. How do people feel about this? In the two comps, South and West have 4 sides, North have 3 sides whilst the rest have 2. Is this...

    Limestone Coast FL Discussion 2024

The vibe I get from Portland is that they prefer the Hampden because of the higher quality, it pushes them to be a stronger club. However as mentioned before, it's really hard for them to attract city players to boost the seniors.

Discussion Random Chat Megathread Mk II

It was suggested that I should share this post on here. My jumper display is in Mount Gambier if anyone is nearby.

Discussion Strange or Interesting AFL Photos

Someone sent me this image from the 150 Years of Football by the Herald Sun, there's a picture of Jason McCartney with 89 on his jumper. When was this worn? Have I missed out on something here?

Surely this isn't right Mero? South Melb didn't have a sash until 1878. They weren’t even red and white until they merged!

Thanks! Pretty sure the Warriors were black and yellow but maybe a local will know.

History of the SWDFNL and now defunct leagues

Just found this on a Facebook post, originally from the 1995 SWDFNL GF record. It details the league history and a young Marcus Picken is listed for Macarthur.

what is the most remote aka middle of f**king nowhere you've been to/seen

The saddest one on that trip would be Kiata. Played up until 1999 in the Horsham District league, the big sign and cricket pitch remains but everything else was removed. Trees were planted on the oval because of some Victorian law saying they had to return the oval to it's natural state or...

    League Rankings South Australia

Never asked anyone from Casterton but I assume they want to stay in a stronger league as long as they can. Although the South West District League are incorporating more juniors now, being in the Victorian league probably makes it easier for juniors to play for the Rebels and they wouldn't have...

Did Westerns used to wear Purple with a yellow V? Saw this on the Facebook page. Also found out that Winnap wore North Melb stripes.

    Discussion Question and Answer Thread

This question is too niche for Bigfooty haha, I'll make a video on Dartmoor and someone should say in the comments

what is the most remote aka middle of f**king nowhere you've been to/seen

Not as remote as others but East Murray Area School where East Murray played in the Riverland Independents until 2014 was an interesting place. A school/footy ground in the middle of paddocks with no town around it. It's not that far away from Loxton, the school is now up for sale...

History of the SWDFNL and now defunct leagues

Thanks for watching! The Wallacedale ground is now a pony club, not sure if its open to the public but I doubt it so haven't gone there yet. Condah (Heywood DFL until 1949) looks to be on private land as you said Greenwald (South Glenelg until 1933) can't find Milltown (Fitzroy JFA until 1933)...
