    Wimmera FL discussion 2026

Too much work they reckon, personally I don't see the point in producing all this content on a radio broadcast just for it to never be heard again. I'd be posting clips of goal, mark and player of the day etc.

They don't post their broadcast or Saturday morning show as a podcast (apart from the legend interview). Most leagues have the radio on the Red Onion footage but it doesn't happen with 3WM. Really frustrating.

Yep red based, it's a little busy but I like what they did with the snake sash.

    HDFNL 2026

My review of the game The Southport guys are all 29/30 so pretty much in their prime, Manteit would be the best player in the comp if he plays again. With Wilkinson and the Eats boys, I think Kaniva have the best forward line. Lachy Bates is a player that hasn't been spoken about and he's...

Was he playing full forward at the Burras? I thought Gawith was their main target but I don't disagree with your point. Looks like Smith is gonna kick the ton

KL have four players from the Southport 2018 NEAFL premiership win, they have recruited better than Wimmera league sides! Seems like Manteit is just there with the VFL bye though.

They were in the Port Fairy FL until 1969 so I guess they had to change to the Cats when they joined the Mininera. I would go to that reunion day if North Gambier wasn't on the same date.

No I haven't got Carngham Linton or Skipton. Always a fan of non AFL designs, I think the Saints works a bit better!

Does it make any sense for a Warrnambool team to play in the South West? A lot more travel, I guess the junior standard is lower and easier to field. Having U18.5 in a district league is wild, it might boost the participation numbers but it doesn't do much for the seniors.

Cheers! I enjoyed it, Tatyoon had some handy reserves players. Matthew James was very impressive in the seniors, might go close to winning the league medal.

The Mininera has some pretty good jumpers too! Glen Dunkeld would be my favourite. The real strength of the comp is having 12 clubs which outnumbers a lot of leagues in country areas.

    SWDFNL Discussion 2026

Clubs were reliant on season permits to allow kids to play SW and Hampden league but now they can only get one game permits. I think this is the biggest issue. If they went back to a separate junior league then I'm not sure how guys can become one point players when the few of them graduate to...

    Limestone Coast FL Discussion 2026

Heywood would be a shout as well, they would probably prefer being one of the bigger South West clubs though. Dartmoor don't have the juniors in town but perhaps being in the LCFL would make it easier to get Mount kids. I do agree that the league is a bit underwhelming from what the Western...
