Whilst both Wills and Sier are excellent at making tackles, standing in tackles to deliver by hand and throwing their weight around at stoppages, the opposition will just sit on the receivers to nullify this.
I’d love both of them to start really breaking tackles then delivering by hand and foot...
I think Grundy is unique in that he could genuinely be classified as a ruck/midfielder.
His tap work has improved greatly in his time with us and I think the challenge for Brodie and the team now is how do we best balance this with his clearance work.
Add to this the likely development of some...
Many thanks to our training reporters, your work is greatly appreciated.
Highlights from the reports for me: Crisp playing up the field and in the middle. Hope we see this once the season commences. Elliott getting some centre bounce work. Could be brilliant for us in there I think. Coxy...
Like to thank the OP for the reminder re Wayne. Loved him as captain of our team.
Strangely my memories are of listening to radio commentary and hearing his name keep bobbing up for us. He was a great role model for selfless leadership and definitely a legend.
Interested to know whether a player in Dayne’s situation could be placed on the long term injury list allowing a rookie to move n to the senior list.
I assume the answer is no. Perhaps it is something the AFL could consider.
Fair points loki04. Typically in our game you’re earmarked for KPP once you hit those heights and not many mids around 195-198.
I was thinking in terms of the Crisp type role and mid time where I’d be fine if he didn’t grow much taller. Oh, and I’m height deprived myself😊
Nature will take its...
I’m actually hoping he doesn’t get too much taller and maintains his pace. Might be someone who could allow Crisp to push into the mids or run through there himself and give us even more flexibility.
I like the sound of Keays. Supposedly skilled by foot which means there’s definitely a spot in the midfield for him if we’re game. Type of player I’d prefer over Wills when we have Sier already as depth.
Interesting discussion re aggression. For mine aggression is more a personality trait rather than anything else. Commitment, attack, fearlessness, courage are words that could be used in a similar context. I wouldn't describe Scharenberg as aggressive but he has the other qualities in spades...
