You'd reckon the List Manager would have the right of veto, because after all it's his reputation on the line. If everything is being decided by a committee I can see why SOS was frustrated. That sounds like excessive oversight to me.

Becuase sos was a board appointment so he had more scope to implement the rebuild plan that was approved by the board. The new list manager will be appointed by Lloyd and Liddle, so there will be an expectation that the new appointee reports to them.

There is no way the next list manager will be able to operate independently of Lloyd and Liddle. That’s pretty much the whole reason they wanted to get rid of SOS isn’t it? People could argue that the List Management role should be integrated more with the club, but I’m not one of those...

I’d much prefer the new appointee to have an intimate knowledge of football and not just oversight skills. David Walls wouldn’t be a terrible selection on the face of it.
